Campus Democrats is the official Democratic organization at UCSB, chartered with both the Santa Barbara Democratic Central Committee and California Young Democrats (the official youth-arm of the state Democratic Party).

As one of the largest and most active groups on campus, we take activism and election-winning seriously.  Throughout the years, Campus Democrats has consistently and effectively coordinated efforts to organize, educate, and Get Out The Vote.  Our volunteer base is highly prized for its size and the dedication of its members, and has indeed turned the tide of Santa Barbara elections in the past.

We invite students of all ideologies (at least those slightly left-of-center) to attend a meeting or show up to one of our events.  Whether you’re looking to make a difference, or just want to educate yourself about local and national politics, Campus Democrats provides the right environment for students trying to cut their teeth on real-world politics and get involved as soon as possible.

Campus Democrats meet every Tuesday at 8 PM in the GSA Lounge (upstairs in the Multicultural Center).
